What I Learned From the General Women’s Session

I hope all of you got to tune in to the General Women’s Session of conference on Saturday night! If you missed it, PLEASE take an hour and a half to watch it here! Each talk was inspiring and I got answers to a lot of my questions! Here is a one-line summary of each message:

  1. Sister Jean B. Bingham: Have true charity!
  2. Sister Carole M. Stephens: Use the Atonement for all sins that hurt you, even if they aren’t yours or your fault
  3. Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson: Gain an unshakeable testimony, rise up in faith, and teach correct doctrines, without worrying about offending people (use sensitivity, but also boldness) – otherwise Satan will become the teacher!
  4. President Dieter F. Uchtdorf: What faith is, what it can and cannot do, and how to become women of faith – keep seeking until the “fourth floor, last door” (there is a cute story behind that phrase!)

These are all really amazing talks and very worth your time! Also, the hymns that were sung, especially “How Firm A Foundation”, by the Young Women choir, hold some impressive messages for us and if you’re taking notes, don’t stop when they sing a hymn!

Let us know in the comments what your favorite talk(s) and hymn(s) is/are!
